Meet my hero, soon to be yours!

I asked my UPS man if I could take a photo...he said "why?" and I said "you are my hero" then he asked what it was and I said catalogs. Without further explanation he said "ohhhh stamping." Imagine all of the crafy gals drooling over the UPS men. I believe this job is up there with actors, race car drivers, pilots, construction workers. WE LOVE YOU MR. BROWN!!!!!

Catalog and a 5K

Well received my catty today! Gorgeous! The new colors and new lines are stunning. My customer copies should be here tonight, but if you want to drool over my copy that is fine too! Then today I ran in my second 5K- 35:27 not bad, don't remember my first but I think I was faster today. I will let you know when the cattys come in. YEEEHAAAAW!! Off to make 101 wish lists!

Meoooow let's polka!

Not really a cat fan, but thought this little box could be made into a pill box hat with a feather flair. MEE-ow!

Beaorquiful!

Oh my do I love this set, why because it is flourishalicious! This is by far the best flourish I have come across, and this set coordinates with Carte Postal. My fave set from 06-07. Ahhhhhh, cherish these frenchy sets forever.

Oh stock boy!!!

I need a stock boy to stock all of my cardstock. I think Matthew McConaughey will do. He will be fanning me while I make samples with my new colors and Baroque Motifs. See you ladies later!

Surf's up dude!

Used the extra little scrap from my "queen to be" sing it with me now! Oh sorry.... patterned paper with the surf boards, then paper pierced little waves. emilymomto3boys inspired me to do this. Thanks girl! Check it out here...

Who has BIG news?

Well no one yet, but I made a card because I had a scrap of orange with a hole in it and thought it would be cool to try to use it. Here is my scrapalicious BIG news creation.

WHEEEEW!

What a wild ride...TOP 10, TOP 5, then they announced NICOLE TURNER!!! I started crying, screaming OH MY GOD!!!! My friend from first grade is MISS ARIZONA!!!! I am so proud of her she is absolutly amazing!!!

Could you get there without your family?

I know I couldn't. This whole pageant thing is nerve racking!! I want to know now, but I don't want to be disappointed. You think she has spend the entire YEAR preparing. And some other gal can just come on through who barely prepared and take it all away. Nicole would be devastated but man her family has put forth countless hours too. So this is a thank you to her family for making me the proudest best friend in the land! THANKS TURNERS!!! (and thanks Toni for the use of your crown stamp!)

Anxiously waiting

Ladies have received cattys in CA!! 7 more days....or perhaps sooner!!! I can't wait!! Update on Miss Arizona. Nicole danced her heart out last night she was AMAZING she got the crowd involved I was so excited I couldn't even talk. It was the first time I had seen her dance since high school- wow what a few years can do!! She tied for talent last night, so let's wish her luck tonight with the top ten and the CROWN!!! SO MANY EXCITING THINGS!! I can't wait. I am like a kid at Christmas (I always peek, and now I can't!) Sitting on the edge of my seat.

My two FAVORITE people

Here is Paul with my best friend Miss Chandler. Or as I call her Coly. She looked so beautiful. She rocked the evening gown and bathing suit competion. While the other half competed in talent and interview question. I know Nicole is going to rock the question and her talent. After watching these other gals they just didn't look prepared. Keep it up Coly!!! Oh and you look like a beauty queen too Paul!

Have you seen the movie Coming to America?

If you have you will remember this song- SHE'S YOUR QUEEN TO BE! Have you ever seen a friend's shopping bag and knew right away "I'm so borrowing that!" This happened when my friend Toni of StampingDiva purchaesed this crown set. My best friend Nicole has been doing pageants for some years now and every crown I see I must get my hands on. Well if you didn't know tomorrow is the first round of Miss Arizona Pageant. I will be attending to root for my friend since first grade- NICOLE!! Check her out at http://www.miss-arizona.org/miss/titleholders/# She is Miss Chandler- check her out! I will let you know of my first pageant experience (I have been overseas for her other pageants I can't wait!!!). So here is her Good Luck card. Jeweled up just like she will be!

Liked the sketch

The edges are sewn but I hate sewing and did it while on the phone. I love to multi-task!

Toni this bit of sewing is for you!

Thanks for the inspiration Toni you seamstress you. I have another card that requires sewing but not up to clearing all of the stuff to be sewn to do so! Oh well, one day it will take shape!

Mutant card...shield your eyes

I love this background paper but having trouble matching it with a color. I never use glorious green and now I know why. EWWW!

10 days and counting!!!

My catty's shipped I am so excited!!! I will keep you posted on my catalog's whereabouts!

Beaded

This is by far my favorite hostess set.

TAC background- my new fave.

Trying to find a set it coordinates with, this will do. Created my own hat pin here too.

Fly away

I love the feather action in this one.

Warming up, so-so

Created this card before the A+ card.

Applique farmyard

The grass has applique because my white applique dried up- so green to the rescue.

Ahoy!

Made a little rope thingymajig out of hemp. I like the little textural touch.

Spelling error at first.

Can I spell frinds? Do you think I would have any frinds if I did? I need to make an aphabet stamp set with spell check. Not the first and definatly not the last.

GRRRRRRRRReat

I'm great at spelling.

A+

I love the gingham ribbon.

Pattern of hope

Eh, not my fave.

I wish for a new butterly set in July.

Pretty flitty card.

Aloooooooooha!

Chalk it up, chalk it up, you got it, you got it!

Ooh la la!

I love the french flair. J'adore!

Shut up and drive.

Vroom, I love this set.

10 hours of stamping later...

Can we say "maid"?

Trashy

A bag topper with some treats. Actually I just put some trash in there to puff it up for my little photo shoot. WHO WANTS SOME TRASH??

3x3...a wee bit hard for me!

Well my husband Paul is out of the hospital and doing a wee bit better. He will seek more medical care with his new doctor which is good. Hopefully we can get a handle on this health issue. Thanks for all of your "get wells". So back at home now, which means back to the studio. There is this lady that amazes me from SCS her name is (http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com) Beate. She does a "warm up" card before stamping. We always stretch before we work out so why not stretch before we stamp. She finds it as a great way to use her scraps. I am all about that! So here is my attemp at warming up, which took me so long it is more like warm up/cool down in the same card. Stretching was exhausting.

6 years ago today....

I enlisted in the AF.

Sneak a peek...

Here are some of the stamps used on the cards for the buffet on Sunday....oh la la! 2400 hours, will we still count it as Friday!?

Holy guacamole- Scene it.

Holy guacamole it's already 2337 (11:37pm) here and no post yet. I am getting later and later. Oh about the guacamole I had a guacamole (Maui) burger at Islands. YUM. Then met up with some of Paul's friends from Germany that live here in AZ now to play scene it. So no stamping for me, I'm beat. Plus I have to work tomorrow- not stamping work- I am so bummed. I am missing 2 birthday partys for my friend's kiddys. If it weren't for the paycheck I would be outta there! Oh yeah and that little thing they call an enlistment. Hopefully a bit of stamping tomorrow. Sorry I lied about the sneak peek. Here is a photo of SC- next to Wild Wings in Spartanburg. Julie are you ready for some wings???

The fruits of my labor are in a SECRET garden.

I want to show all of you so badly what I have been up to- but it's a secret. There will be a sneak peek tomorrow evening of the card buffet. I have played with my tiny envie punch- VERY COOL! The little picture on the punch doesn't do it justice. I really like it- perfect with my little postage fetish! So here are some fruits I saw while in SC, what a tease I know. Nighty night!

I'm the slit!

Well, I am sliding in at the last minute it is 2054hrs here and I have created my VERY first tutorial. I would like to do a video but I will need an assistant. Any Vana Whites out there!? You can wear a flashy dress! So this was featured on the "Stamper's Showcase"(SU! demo site ideas) today. A slit punched flower. Step one: start with a donut shape (I used Creative Memories circle cutter but you could use punches as well). Step two: Then put the slit punch upside down through the center (in the donut hole). I punch everything upside down so I can see what I am punching. Step three: Continue lining up the slit punch making sure you are right on the line of the last punch and not over otherwise you will cut your scallop, then Oh slit! Time to start over. Have fun with this one- I will! I will be showing some creations with this slitsational technique tomorrow. Happy punching!
