Ribbon Share

Yeah, my ribbon arrived from Toni's ribbon share. Thanks for sharing Toni! Can't wait to create with all of my great goodies--tonight is the night! Sorry y'all Monday nights is Girl Scout Night and didn't have time. Watched Breech again and looked into the eyes of my cuttlebug....and my green machine. Off to make BREAKFAST SANDWICHES for the Propulsion Airman's Council.

Walmart- eeew

This photo was taken last week. My cousin had a photo of a sunrise, weird out of the hundreds of photos I have they are all sunsets- so here is my attempt. I couldn't believe that it was this beautiful at 5am in a Walmart parking lot. There was beauty everywhere because there were parking spaces, no traffic in the store, and short lines. 5am is beautiful huh?

I'm spoiled!

So if all of my vintage Lindsey stuff wasn't enough she also gave me a CUTTLEBUG!!! This is the cutest little machine in the world. And it's lime green so I will never forget Toni (she is my bright friend). THANKS SO MUCH TONI FOR BRINGING ME INTO THE DIECUT MACHINE WORLD!!! U RAWK! Go over to Toni's site and tell her how wonderful she is!!

Happy early birthday to ME!

So having just a little weekend coffee visit with my friend Toni and she MAKES me open up my birthday gift (I know my life is tragic!). This is the first part- I know what you are thinking she truly has outdone herself! She is the best at making "THINGS" and a pro with patterened paper. This paper has me written all over it! Thanks Toni you are the absolute best!!!

Oh yes the catalog release party...

Toni from Stamping Diva (TAC) and I released our catalogs into the wild together this year. Visit her site to see some pictures!

Happy Birthday Megan!

Made this card and note pad for Megan. She is such a sweetheart. She celebrated her birthday last night and we went out dancing. Paul met Megan and Ryan in Spangdalem Germany and they live here in AZ now. That's what is nice about the military you have friends from everywhere and sometimes you get the chance to be with them again. I actually cut up a piece of 12x12 paper for this card and note pad, baby steps! Happy Birthday Megan!

CD envies

I love to take photos, and once I get some shots everyone is like oooh I want a copy of that. So I make a lot of photo CDs. But this could be used for any type of CD or even a square card! This is how I get a lot of my templates (find a pattern that I like and rip it up. Measuring has never worked out for me but tracing has. First I just took an old CD holder that we don't use anymore and ripped it up being careful to keep it's original form. I traced it on regular computer paper for ease of folding and if I mail it wouldn't be too heavy, cut it out, folded the end and sides, ahered them leaving the top for last. Then decorated. These were made in about 10 minutes because we were meeting for dinner and I didn't have time to make them any more fancy. So one is for Aubrey, Jen and my sister Courtney. Try some for yourself!

For my wino friend Laura

I am horrible about sending out birthday cards on time. Here is for my early July girl friend "Spicy Laura". Love that stitched ribbon! Happy Birthday Laura!

YEAH! My sister is here!

Not much stamping on my end. My sister came into town for a wedding and I am so excited to see her. She left my little nephew back in Illinois but it is still so great to see her. I forgot how much we laughed together! My face hurts! This is My sister (in the blue- or cool carribean shirt) and her two friends from school we all went to the Martini McBride concert and out for drinks at the Yard House. Love you Courtney!

Let's face it.

I love to organize, but let's face it... I'm a mess. I enjoy a good sale and will purchase anything if it is a good deal. So after having to go through my stuff a million times I have come to the conclusion...
I must like what my studio looks like, this way I will want to show it off. ie-clean it up more often. So I am really evaluating what I need, what I use and what is the best organizing tool (not necessarily the best deal) to contain my supplies. Well if the first part of recovery is admitting you have a problem I am on step three or four. I am taking action. My first mission was paper scraps. I color coordinate my paper so I can find it quickly- solid, cardstock and patterned of the same color go in the same bin. I also keep a bin of stamped images (wishes, mess ups- to use to make a quick card). My problem was containing it. I found some great bins for 100 yen (one dollar) and I had to open and close them to put paper away. Too much work (I know I am lazy) so I found these great little zipper bins at Ikea for 4.99 (the real ones I wanted were from Hobby Lobby and 20.00) So I still went the cheaper route but I am happy. Scraps are where I can find them now. Here's to you getting your life organized too!

All bundled up

This is the card that I made for Erin's baby shower. I wrapped up a little bundle to thank for all of the gifts for her little bundle. I went to a scrapbooking event in Japan and loaned a set to a person and never got the "i'm here" stamp back so the wonderful words thank you was perfect! I stamp lifted this from this card in the SCS gallery

Who knew?

Not sure who knew but I am a Rockin' Blogger Girl. I always thought I was a groupie. But since I have been voted a Rockin' Bloggin' Girl I choose to be Gwen Stefani- she totally ROCKS in my books! Thanks Jen for nominating me. Thanks for keeping me rockin'!
PS- Now go and sign the guest book- because U ROCK!

Baby Shower

So here is the gift I gave my new friend Erin for her baby shower. I worked on it at the Scrapbooking Meetup.com event and a little bit the day of the shower. These are so simple to make and a great way to use up those scraps! Of course she loved it and was so glad that she would just have to place a photo on each page but still have a handmade look.

This is a photo from Tuesday

I love clouds, sunsets, & weather. I donated blood yesterday and have donated a half of a gallon in my life so far. The woman that runs the blood drives at the base has donated OVER 19 gallons! She is my inspiration! Go out and donate blood today!
