My husband and I

This is my husband Paul and I at Momoishi (our first date, ahhh). She is a miniture Statue of Liberty in Shimoda Japan. She is along the same longitude lines as the one in New York (they face each other). Anyway this is the man that encourages me to stamp. He only harnesses the finances every now and then believe me he should do it more often-- we are running out of room. I absolutly love stamping and wake up at 5 am just to do it. Whether it be puruse a magazine, search the internet, or actually making a card- stamping is a part of my everyday life. I am inspired by color. Everywhere you look there are color combinations (clothes, houses, landscapes, sunsets). So when sitting down to my craft table I pick a set and a new color combination that I have found that day. Most of the time I would never put those colors together but I get some amazing results. My favorite colors happen to be black and white. So you can imagine the variety if I created using only my favorites.

Carte Postal for DDSS

Got a wee bit crazy with the gold embossing powder. But I think it is very elegant. I love this set (carte postale) and anything Frenchy looking for that matter. This one went to my Little Sis (Dabblin' Demos Secret Sisters) who lives in New York.

From my DSS

I have joined Divine Secret Sisters. This little group is like a secret santa but lasts for 3 months. My Big Sis sent me this card for Valentine's Day. How sweet! I get to find out who she is on March 31st- I can't wait!

For Hotwheels

This card was made for Hotwheels on SCS. You can find the reason I made this card for her with the supplies to make another in this thread.http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210580 Check it out and if you would like to help her I can give you the link. This is the perfect way to reach out to someone in need!

For Saudi

This is a card that I made for my friend Saudi, she lives in Japan. It is her birthday this week. I tried the pastel embossing and I liked the results. First you emboss your image with white embossing powder then you use a blender pen with chalks to color the image in. The photo doesn't show the metallic chalks that I used. I hope that she likes it. I purchased these Asian stamps at the expo in Glendale, they are from Sunday International.

My first BLOG

Alright, not as hard as I thought it would be. Although I am having trouble downloading photos so text will have to do right now until I get a computer junkie to help me. I am enjoying a day off from work today, planning on stamping a bit then going to north Phoenix to visit my Mother. I haven't seen here since Christmas! How horrible and we only live 20 minutes away. I should be studying right now for my next stripe but here I am on the computer once again. It has become an addiction and starting this blog won't help me stay off of it either. Oh, yet another viscous cycle.
