The funniest tatoo EVER

My friend Amanda is the funniest gal I know. She was talking to a guy at a coffee shop and showed her the funniest tatoo ever. He simply put his finger up to his lip and started laughing MUHAHHAHAA. So at an Irish Pub Amanda got creative with the bic and next thing you know we were all MUHAHAHAHAAHing! We all had different mustaches. Here we are with our staches!

Be a hero.

Why not? Today I was able to save three lives! Talk about a good day. I donated blood at work. No I didn't get a horrific paper cut or fall down as many of you could imagine me doing. It is amazing to what you can do in one hour. There were a TON of people at this blood drive, including the head representative for Luke Air Force base. I had the privilege of talking to him and asked him a bunch of questions as I drank my berry juice box and ate the mini lemon cookies. What he told me is they set their goals low so they can achieve them with no problem but they barely break even. I told him I have heard of blood drives but really never donated until I joined the military. He said most say they have never done it because they were never asked. So now I am asking you. Click on donate, find your state and put in your zip code. Many blood drives will come up and I guarantee one will be near you! I always knew someone would see me as a hero. Our rep at work has donated OVER 19 GALLONS of blood!!!! Not in one sitting, so don't freak out. She has inspired me to do it as much as I can. Go ahead donate and tell me when you do it!

Creative Regulations?

What does it mean to be creative? I think of myself as a creative person because people throughout my life have told me I am.

cre·a·tive /kriˈeɪtɪv/
1. having the quality or power of creating.
2. resulting from originality of thought, expression, etc.; imaginative: creative writing.
3. originative; productive (usually fol. by of).
4. Facetious. using or creating exaggerated or skewed data, information, etc.: creative bookkeeping.
5. having or showing the power and imagination to create

Example: a creative dress-designer Arabic: خلاّق، مُبْدِع
Chinese (Simplified): 有创造力的
Chinese (Traditional): 有創造力的
Czech: kreativní, tvořivý
Danish: kreativ; skabende; idérig
Dutch: creatief
Estonian: loov
Finnish: luova
French: créateur
German: schöpferisch
Greek: δημιουργικός
Hungarian: alkotó; teremtő
Icelandic: skapandi, frjór
Indonesian: kreatif
Italian: creativo
Japanese: 創造的な
Korean: 창조적인
Latvian: radošs
Lithuanian: kūrybingas, kūrybiškas
Norwegian: skapende, kreativ, formende
Polish: twórczy
Portuguese (Brazil): criativo
Portuguese (Portugal): criativo
Romanian: inventiv, creativ
Russian: творческий
Slovak: tvorivý
Slovenian: ustvarjalen
Spanish: creativo
Swedish: kreativ
Turkish: yaratıcı, özgün düşünce ürünü

My ideas and thoughts have always been my own. I really wasn't doing anything because everyone else was. My mom raised me to be creative. I guess she let both my sister and I know that different was okay. I have had my opinions and ideas since I was very young and they haven't changed much. Not meaning I had three ideas and I am creativly used up just my values have been in place for a really long time. Alright the reason I am bringing this up....in my job (especially the military) I rarely have the oportunity to be creative. Well now I work for someone that is giving me free rein to be just that. So seeing as though it isn't difficult for me to be creative I jump on it and come up with some pretty creative ( or as the military sees it DIFFERENT) ideas. These are instantly shut down and I am scolded for thinking that way. He finds facts (regulations) or others' opinions concering the matter. WHY!? do we have to be so robotic in the military? I understand how pieces of it would be helpful in the field but how is it helping us here and now? So I am told to be creative so I do that and get in trouble, then I am told to follow the regs and get in trouble for that too! The only solution I can find is to get out of the military and find my place in the world. A place where I am free to be creative without restrictions (regulations). I understand there are rules and I am not just wanting to break them. I have a certain way that things make sense to me and I try to explain it to others. Many in my life have struggled seeing things my way. Now it sounds like I am a control freak, and perhaps that's the case. My question out of all of this is how can you be creative "AND" follow regulations?

The inside scoop (not really)

This is the inside, perhaps I should just say that. But you know I can't I love to talk. Alright really that is all I have to say about it, enjoy.

Card Contest for Paper Crafts CKC Mesa

Well, one of my first contest entries....what do you think!? I busted out an old corner rounder and really love how huge it is. And watch out I added some flowers- so not me but I think I am getting into it. I know you are probably asking 'what is up with the patterned paper?' Ask no more, I think I have passed the stage where I can cut the 12x12 sheet. There will always be a Micheals/Joanns/Hobby Lobby/SU/TAC/CTMH/Recollections/Target/do you know of any others just so I have a back up? Why is it so hard to cut the paper? I guess it is like a 100 dollar bill then it is smaller and easier to use just a scrap (10 dollar bill) so if I can keep it in the original form it stays around a lot longer. Wow, there was more to this card than I expected. Enjoy, and go cut a 12x12 patterned paper into 123 pieces! :0)

When I am on the computer...

When I am on the computer, which is everyday...this is what I see. The camera is always waiting for Paul's little photo shoot, ins't he ridiculous!? He will make me photograph him in about 10 different poses each time. The "accessories" are always different of course!

BBQ season is officially OPEN!

Here Amanda prepares the vegis- YUM!

Real Red....real real red.

Had a yardsale on Saturday, it was gorgeous out! Little chilly so I had on a sweater of my mother's (we did it at her house for a better location)so it hit me about 3/4 sleeve. I was wearing capris pants and flip flops. Why is this so important? Because I got SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sunburned that it looks like I am still wearing the flip flops and have a burn where softball socks would go. Oh and don't forget about the sweater there are uneven lines where the sleeves hit my arms. Why am I always the victim to the most riduculous sunburns!? It was cold out for crying out loud. So had to take the day off because my legs were throbbing. Tried a vinegar bath, aloe, any other suggestions? I guess you can't fix stupid in the words of Ron White!

Friendship, a gift for sure!

Stampers are definatly the gift that keeps on giving. Whether it be inspiration, laughs, or actual gifts. This is what I received from our last SCS get together. You ladies are too sweet!

Wowza!

This is my reveal gift from my Divine Secret Sister Cherie-baby. Isn't so EASTER! YAHOO! I didn't realize how yellow it was until I looked at the photo. When the box arrived I tore into it and pulled little goodies out for what seemed like forever! She is such a talented stamper and OH SO GENEROUS! Thanks girl. My peeps are drying out as we speak, I like them crunchy like the lucky charms marshmellows. Anyone else enjoy a stale marshmellow? Here is what it inlcuded...prisma glitter, life saver bag and chick topper (sorry my amazing photography cut it out), fridge note pad and pen, EXPLODING scrapbook and instructions- thank you!, a reveal note packaged up so cutely, an altered candle, box full of dark chocolate, hershey's bar, Crunch and Munch, a fridge scrapbook layout, a cute chick card and my all time easter favorite PEEPS! Thanks sis!

Punchtacular package!

This package was also held for ransom at the post office, but arrived unharmed...thank goodness! Again a little something something from my Dabbin Demo Secret Sis, isn't the frog card punchtactular!? Thanks girl!

Put a hold on your mail or the brad gets it!

This card is from my RUBBER BUDDY! Toni as some like to call her. She is obsessed with patterned paper and sent this to me while I was in Texas, but then of course it was held hostage by my post man. And the post mark inked up the brad to be black, it was perfectly coordinated until we turned it into a group project. Or I guess you can look at it as the wound it received while they held it for ransom!

So sweet I'm all chalked up!

Here is another card from my talented friend Hotwheels. She chalked the cuttlebugged background and makes is oh so elegant! I must have this set! I have seen so many great ideas with these precious flowers. Thanks so much Hotwheels you have made my day!

My new Friend, Hotwheels

This simply adorable card was made by Hotwheels. I have stamped images for her because she is unable to and this is how she thanks me! Isn't she a sweetie! So talented, the flower part of the "i" is sparkely and I love it! So fresh and fun!!! Thanks Hotwheels!

Happy Easter to me

This card was made for me by my mystery DDSS. I can't wait to find out who she is! The suspense is killing me!

Tag so much Cherie Baby!

Cherie-Baby is so talented, I love all of her perfectly stamped cards. The card is made with the set Shelli (SU! head honcho) gave to us for the Christmas holiday. Cherie has done a great job and I love the colors, and included a little dragonfly tag, he is gold embossed. Why is he a boy hmmm... I don't know but it's so cute. And I can't wait to get the warm words at 20% off, that brings me happiness!!!

A thing of beauty

This is another gorgeous card from Cherie-Baby. My Divine Secret Sister. She told me her neice would be having a pink and brown wedding- so perfect right!? I just love the color combo. It's hard to tell but the butterfly is embossed. I think it's beautiful. And as the card says Thanks so much!

Paisleys, my favorite!!

This card is from my Divine Secret Sister, who I now know as Cherie-baby. She is so funny! I just thought this card was beautiful, I love the paisley background stamp (I NEED IT!) Thanks girl you are the best!

I am growing up!

Again my rubber buddy Toni has inspired me yet again. She made these adorable gift baskets for Valentine's day complete with an altered tablet. I thought they were adorable and didn't require much measuring. Rulers have never been my friend. This is a little something for my DSS. I hope she likes it. I am growing up so fast as a stamper! Now I can say I make THINGS like my friend Toni. Hooray!

Sympathy Card for a Friend's loss

While I was stationed in South Carolina I met a family that owned an Antique/Scrapbooking store. By far the best in the world. And believe me I would know. Anyway my "Mom" in South Carolina got me loving Art Impressions stamps. She always wanted to be a Watercolor artist and these stamps allowed her to do that by giving some guidelines. Each different flower and foliage is a different stamp. So you create your own bouquets, scenes etc. I just think they are so beautiful and remind me of my family in South Carolina. I miss you guys!!!

Sassy Angel

CASED this card from Laura 82Erickson the hostess of the soon to be shoebox swap I will be attending. Man, that is a stamper for you...we haven't even met yet I am stamplifting her material. My aunt gave me BAGS of at the time I thought ridiculous feathers. But I really like the boa like sassiness it adds to this card. My inspiration for this sassy pair of angel wings is located in her galleryhttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=121988&cat=500&ppuser=22841

Dazzling Darling!

Another scalloped oval, who would have guessed! This card for my secret sister Jen. She loves Easter so I borrowed this set from my rubber buddy and inspiration Toni. And I dazzled it up with dazzling diamonds of course! Toni would be so proud!

Accordian File

This is a wish holder for my divine secret sister. I filled it with wishes for Children's birthdays and some masculine images. I know pretty elegant on the outside for what it holds, but it is basically a transport and I hope she will use it for something special when it arrives on her doorstep. I love the oval scallop punch and the letterpress alpha. Monograms are so hot right now and I really like the way the scallop frames them perfectly!

Inspired by color yet again!

A card created for my dabblin' demo secret sister. Went bloggin' today and saw this on an amazing blog...http://www.stampinkub.com/gallery/gallery/slides/CC103.htmlcheck him out. I didn't have the All in a Row set so I changed the images a wee bit, but it is stampinkub's work. Also he has great tutorials that walk you through just about anything. He inspired me! The colors and the layout spoke to me.

Udderly Awesome!

This card is for a friend of mine. I hope she doesn't look here and see it before it arrives in the mail. I am trying to create more of a backdrop when photographing my cards so I had a little photo shoot with the cards I created today.
