wee wee wee all the way home

Carrots on a pig cutting board. Snort! Cooking is fun with at my aunt's house. Went to have Tacos with my Gram (her new wheels) and my aunt. Lost my keys, found my sister and went home with Jelly Beans. And 6 months until they will look into my knee surgury. So for now I have been prescribed Starburst Jelly beans.

Singlewide Sunrise

Sunrise. Usually not up early enough to enjoy them. This one I will never forget because it is my last time with my AZ girls! I loved the palm trees, but had to cut out what was below it- a trailer park! So here they both are, beauty really is everywhere you look. Speaking of beauty- this is me. Have a beautiful day!

Family and I love it!

Family... the whole reason to move up here. This is just a sampling of the photos I have taken in the last few weeks. Many more to come and I love the thought of that! I still don't feel like I live here though. Crazy to think I just celebrated my first Easter with my family since I was about 4! Wild huh?? How long do you need to live in a place to feel like you really "live" there? I'll keep you posted.

Sketches and color combos inspire me!

New supplies, new sketches and I am feeling inspired! Here is another little ditty I completed this weekend! Ah, feels good to be back in action! Find the sketch at i{heart}2stamp. And this is SCS color combo #48.

life is good

I always check out Beate's weekend sketch challenge but never bring one to life- here is my first! I am lovin' this card. Life is good! This is also SCS color challenge #39.

This little image is from Wish Rak isn't he cute!? Wanted to use some designer series paper I had yet to use and of course my new stickles from my TAC order! I tried to emboss the oval with the nestabilities and cut it out at the same time, not my recommendation. That is the reason for the tatty edges on the oval. Today is an Easter egg hunt with 25,000 eggs, but I have to go with my Mom's side of the family since my cousin will be out of town tomorrow. Bummer I bet 25,000 plastic eggs is a site to see, better yet a bagillion kids chasing after 25,000 eggs has to be a site to see! Well laters.

I did it!

Kwerner had a color challenge and I completed the card that day! What an accomplishment for me! Although there wasn't a photograph taken until the next day and croping the next, but hey I did it! Check out the inspiration here. Also it is one of Toni's sketch challenges, check out the sketch here.

These are my purchases from MOMS (Mountains of Memories Scrapbook Store)and Michael's. I am really lovin that Tim Holtz flourish stamp- isn't it totally groovy!?

Crop Fest 2008 Goodies!!

These are the goods I can home with from Crop Fest 2008, if you are near AZ you can attend on in June. Check it out here.
This was the welcome bag full of great goodies...rubons, chipboard, gorgeous paper, gel stickers, ribbon.
Two SU! ladies also put out their retired sets for sale. Jackpot! I finally got my hands on two sets I have been wanting for a while, and at 60% off who could resist?
The whole reason for me to go to Crop Fest 2008 was to assist my friend Toni with her booth. I didn't do much, just ran and got a few things, brought her lunch, mostly I stamped her SU! stamps so I would have some images to play with since I was moving. She had an amazing display and is so very talented! She made a accordian album that unfolds out of a stamp set plastic box- genious she is! With my TAC stamps I put them into CD cases so I have a ton of those laying around. Anyway for helping her she gave me the paper pack used to do her accordian album class, it is simply gorgeous!

Sadly I have yet to play with any of these goodies. I need to change that!

Happy 29th Forever Tammi and a RAK

My cousin's wife turned 30 this year but didn't want to because that meant she was old and couldn't be a kid anymore. My Grandma on the other hand was born in 1929 so always says that she is 29 again. I thought yet, Tammi will be just like my Grandma and be 29 forever! I love this set out of the occasions mini! And I received an adorable card from Kemi over at KSS designs! Isn't she sweet!? She has some great stuff she has been doing with her score pal lately.

Day two at work was better than day one, hopefully day three is better yet! I guess that is good when you work from the worst day ever- it can't get any worse!

I received my order from TAC, had Taco Bell while watching The Holiday, cut stamps, sharpened 119 prismacolor pencils, cleaned up my craft room, watched the end of Because I Said So, and then slept until 3am this morning. Geez, don't you hate waking up that early. Oh well, Happy Wednesday!

Last day to SALE-a-brate!

Made these cards this weekend. The baby card is using some of the vintage ribbon from my grandmother and a sketch from Toni at Stampingdiva. The bumble bee card was inspired by the polka dotted ribbon and this sketch from Stampingdiva. The color combo is to match the yellow ribbon- I hate yo-yo yellow but the ribbon is just too cute! So that is my third grade card for the day. And finally the rubbon card. I like rubbons, I have been using my rubbon applicator find out a bit more about it here. Again using up the scraps from my previous projects on all three cards. Be sure if you didn't have the chance to SALE-a-brate you take advantage of it!

I started my first day of work, and let me tell you the luck of the irish was no where to be seen. Hopefully today will be better. I did take a small trip to Michael's and found some goodies, and today I will receive my TAC order from Toni so this should be a MUCH better day!

Happy St. York Pepperment Patty's day!

This was given to me at Crop Fest 2008 (another one in June) by a SU! demonstrator. Pretty cute huh!? Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Today is my first day at my new job. Hopefully I do well, maybe it'll be the luck o' the Irish that will help me!

Had my little cousin's birthay yesterday. She is too cute. To prepare for the party my uncle (her dad) came into town to get the car trailer holding all of my "put in storage" stuff, get a blow up doll and some beer. You know that that was a kickin' 2 year-old party! The blow up doll was a huge balloon Dora the Explorer- so it was appropriate.

CTMH Make n' Takes

Toni and I attended an event with many other Demos. This is the party that I found out about Tastefully Simple for the first time. I am taking a Go-Go Asiago Dip with Beer Bread to my little two year old cousin's birthday. I know if I make it at home I will eat it all myself. Misty the CTMH rep created this make n' take for us while there was another more elegant option I thought this was good for boys. I have trouble using bright colors and not putting stickles and ribbon on a card these days.

Pirates and Montana Bars

Both of these cards are made with Wish RAK images. This set is too cute, but not sure I would use it that often. Created my own sentiments- this was the early part of the getting out of hand with sentiments day. You can see why I stopped on yesterday's post.

Well since I have been here things have been pretty interesting. Everytime I see my mom's side of the family I go home with some sort of grocery item. So far I have been given a loaf of cinnamon bread that was 45 cents, squash fresh from my aunt's garden, a frozen chicken, bananas, cinnamon twists (my FAVORITE!), and then always a togo box from my lunch a patty melt and fried chicken. I have been on a fried chicken kick for two months now. I think it has come to an end. I seem to get in a rut with foods. I will eat them every chance I get then I will be good for a year.

Yesterday went with my cousin to show her friend's sister a real Montana bar. Which was pretty cool because I hadn't been to most of these places. We stopped off at The American Bar, Centerville Bar, a bar in Tracy, Belt Brew Pub, and Harvest Moon. So the firsts we saw in the bars were a two headed calf mounted, hydraulic jacks leveling a pool table, someone I had met a few days ago (this town is so small "I" ran into someone I just met!) saloon doors, a man lick a woman's neck, so to say the least it was very interesting! But on the way home we were pulled over for going 5 miles over the speed limit. My cousin had to follow the cops finger and sit in his car so that he could see if she smelled like alcohol. So we all met a Montana State Trooper as well- talk about the icing on the cake!

Dragonfly and a little bit of humor

The dragonfly card is from a wish rak image, I am finally breaking into them. I hate the color glorious green and found this color combo on this site, and don't think it's so bad. Well after the thought in my head I wanted the second card to look like a form with ink blotches on it, but seems I picked burgundy instead so it looked like blood. That is the reasoning for the sick sentiment. That's when I knew I should stop because they were getting pretty bad!

After a sneak peek of spring I think we are back to having some snow. Man I was wearing capri pants and flip flops when I left AZ. And moved to a place where 45 degrees is a heat wave. Better go put on a sweatshirt before I freeze! Teeny tiny flakes are falling now ever so gently. This weekend my youngest cousin turns two and she has a bouncy castle in mind. Hmmmm, where to put a big blow up castle that is away from the snow and cold!? Happy Friday!

Stamps I will hold Close to my Heart

Here is my order from Lupita's CTMH party. You can see the make and take here. I have yet to try anything with them. I also got an acrylic block from them because they are the best!

Today my cousin turns 30, we are having a party with games and raviolis. Just about set up my entire stamping studio down here in the basement. So things should be developing from there soon! I need to make a super glittery card for her birthday today. She loves glitter. So I am thinking dazzling diamonds, stickles and rhinestones!! Fun, fun, fun!

SALEABRATE the Occasions Mini and being back to scrappin!

Found this card in the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery you can see the card here.
Had to play with this background and the delicious flower set out of the occasions mini. Totally diggin this color combo as well, found on this website which is a great resource and we all know how I feel about color! It is for SU! colors, but she also has a CTMH color combo site as well here.

So what I have been up to...

Unpacking and organizing my life.

Which I guess the best way to do that is through lunch with everyone. I have have been out to lunch just about everyday since I have arrived.

Began actaully scrapbooking again! I found a great store here a few years back and she is still up and running. Over the years a stamp store closed and another scrapbooking store. I attended the crop that was Friday from 6pm-12am and Saturday from 10am-12am. Met 11 talented scrapbookers and just about finished 18 layouts! I just need to add embellishments to them. I began putting photos to paper for my aunt's Disney Cruise album. I also need to begin my sister's wedding album and keep plugging away on Miss Arizona's album and of course the mustache book. So the "me" books might have to wait, or I could make some time to get motivated to do the others. We will see how that pans out.

The last shopping spree...

This was my last purchase with Toni. We purused Target as said yesterday. Notice everything was on clearance. Not too bad. I had been dying to get an exacto knife and after cutting out teeny tiny things I am wondering what the heck I did before. The rubbons, adhesive remover and rubbon applicator was inspired by Stacey at a crop. She had that little adhesive remover and I knew I needed it. Man I always get the adhesive on a tiny spot, but can't get in there to get it out. That pointed tip really helps out. So two tools to help me be more precise- lovin' it! And all on clearance- lovin' it even more!

She remembered- and I SALEABRATE

Few more days of SALEABRATION, had to use the ole' pearls I got with Toni on sale at Target. I miss our little shopping experiences. This card again created using scraps! I was on a roll huh!?

It is so nice to meet someone who says that they will do something and ACTUALLY follows through with it. Pauline sent me some binding pieces for my Mustache Book I have been working on for months (here for photo). I talked with her about what to bind it with and she had the perfect idea. I can't wait to share it once it is all complete.

...and more to saleabrate...

These cards were made with scraps. I am on a roll with not cutting a new sheet of cardstock for a year! Still time to saleabrate- why not!?

Sweet Magnolia let's saleabrate!

Here is another saleabration card made from scraps. And I love this hostess stamp- isn't so elegant!? I love magnolias. The first time I saw them I was in Spain and their was a girl from Georgia that said, oh yeah we have that flower in the South. Sure enough when I was stationed in South Carolina I saw them all of the time. One of my favorite flowers. Plus Bath & Body Works has an awesome Magnolia Blossom lotion that smells phenomenal!

...still SALEabrating!!

Created the baroque card back in AZ and took some time to put together the little butterfly in MT. I used a wish rak image on the baroque card and a bunch of scraps for the butterfly card. Slowly but surely using up my scraps! Have a scrapalicious day!
