I {heart} Joann's

Because DCWV paper packs were 50% off and I have been waiting for the Once Upon a Time and Far East pack. My friend Toni and I hit up Joann's, Micheal's, Target and Chili's for lunch. All in all a great day, but while returning something across town hit up a second Michael's and found these gorgeous rolls of ribbon. Since they were only a dollar they had to come home with me! I am going to miss days of coffee and shopping with Toni. Who knows perhaps she will move to Montana!? A girl can hope right?

Inspiration runneth over!

I made these two cards right after my Big Lots Excursion with Otilia, Brandy and Toni. The pink and black many thanks card I used a STAMPAMAJIG to place the image right where I wanted it. Let me tell you I am obsessed with this tool. I thought I did a good job lining things up, but this bad boy is amazing!! Check out kwerner's tutorial on October 29th showing how to use the STAMPAMAJIG here. The next card has the most gorgeous background EVER! First off I love bold images and it has holes throughout the image that are perfect for paper piercing. And thanks to kwerner I am obsessed with kraft cardstock from SU!. Hope you enjoy these, I will see you all again but I will be posting from BIG SKY COUNTRY!

Yet more to embrace and celebrate...

Today is my goodbye lunch at work. How sad. I have met a lot of really great people while I have been here. The celebrate card was inspired by kwerner you can look at her post on October 10th, for some reason it won't let me pull up just that post. But that is the card that inspired me. In fact she has taken me into a new direction of clean graphic designs and I like it!

My friend Toni is the best at making "stuff". She made these little cuties for all of the attendees. I love the chocolate in there but can't seem to mess it up. Ohhhseebooboo, aren't they cute!?

Lunar Eclipse

This is the very first lunar eclipse I have ever seen. Pretty cool. My neighbor has this really creepy tree in their back yard and I always want to take a photo of it and with the moon out it was the perfect time. I took these photos on manual mode and even though they are not "perfect" photos I really like the way they came out. There is always an orange glow in the sky from the Morton Salt factory lights by Luke Air Force Base. Wicked cool.

Lovin' Nestabilities and I want to Celebrate it!

I love how clean the oval scallop and oval look on this card. I can't wait to get the circles and the squares. I am mixed on purchasing the rectangles. Thanks for taking a gander!

I am a computer GENIUS!!

I have been really preoccupied with all that is going on in my life (knee issues, getting out of the military, lining up a new job, moving, divorce). But that has not been the reason for no blog action. I have been trying to get on my computer but it didn't want anything to do with google. Well to update your blogger account and make comments on other blogger blogs you need to access google. I had no idea how much google ruled my life! I blog with it, my calendar is through it, search engine HELLO!, youtube uses it. It was like everything I wanted to do I couldn't because my computer life is so dependent on google. Well I did some reading because I was fed up with it. I troubleshot it down to my ISP (yes I am talking in computer terms-for those of you who are computer people I know this is elementary but it's a big computer word for me) meaning Internet Service Provider. They walked me through which setting that had been switched with my DSN. Don't ask me about that one I think domain....I am sure all of my computer friends will fill in the blank for you. So I am back and ready for action. I am done with work today for good too!! Both of these cards are from the Time Well Spent level three set that I recieved as a thank you from SU!. Stampin' Up! Says you can't have too much of a good thing. I say you can't have to much of a GOOGLE thing!

A Big Lots Excursion

Well I have been hearing for a while now and seeing all of the great deals in my friend Otilia's and Brandy's bag everytime we get together to scrap. Everything that I grab out of their bags to oooh and awe over the both reply "big lots, 1 dollar." I needed in on the fun and boy did I go WILD! I have been outta control with this shopping thing. I am now known as the big spender of the group. Well that is all going to be coming to a screeching hault here soon. But I will still be able to enjoy these beauties for a while!!

I went to a CTMH party and had a great time. Otilia was the hosess and put together this little book for us to make. Isn't she the BOMB!? You are truly a talented stamper girl!! I am glad that we also got to hit up Big Lots FINALLY!

Not a big Valentine's fan

It has never been my favorite holiday. Although it has candy as a main focus and I am in love with all candy so I guess we can keep it around. And this is the only day that red and pinkk (according to my Mother) can go together. I like it. Not sure who will get this card. Definatly not technology- it hates me and my computer has blocked google for some reason and this is the only day since Sunday that I have been able to update. It's my Sister's 24th birthday so perhaps that is why!

Out of Control

This purchase also included a pair of black and gray striped shoes. Target is my fave. I plan to alter the flowers and the little bin they came in (not in photo) and alter the books for grandparent brag books. Then the paper is just for fun of course! Oh and the little note pads will be gifts. Why I needed it all you ask? Because it was on sale! This needs to stop for real.

Christmas in February

This year I did not send out Christmas cards. First year in many. Like I said before I am really trying to balance my life and Christmas cards took the cut. But a little holiday inspiration a few months early for those early birds!
