Just Another Day?
March 29, my life changed. I became a mother. Not in the normal way that most women enter motherhood, but in the crazy way that you thought you were dying and so was your unborn child way. I gave birth to Eli Weston Soulsby on the night of March 29th 2010. I delievered 4 months early because I had preeclampsia. Everyone said that having a kid would change my life. Boy, were they ever right. Eli was born at 24 weeks and 1 pound. Today he is corrected at 38 weeks and 4 pounds 2 ounces. My life is still not 'normal'. We are still out in Seattle in a NICU waiting for Eli's eyes to heal from laser surgery. I look forward to the day when we are at home together as a family. Just getting back to Montana will be a relief, creating with paper is a nice release and soon I will be reunited with my supplies. We have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House which is FANTASTIC. If you have been looking for a charity to donate to, it's a GREAT one! While out here in Seattle I have also found a stamp store, imagine that, Impress has some great stuff!
