Old and New

My aunt Deanne has had her car for 18 years. This card was a tribute to almost 2 decades of the same vehicle. I am going on 6 years. She is my inspiration. Once the baby arrives 'the banana' won't be safe enough, so most likely will no longer be my primary vehicle.

Goodbye now, goodbye.

I do everything in the last minute, why would these good luck cards be any different!? That is my reasoning for the poor photography, it was done right before they went into the envelopes. I really need to break that habit for sure. These are goodbye/good luck cards for our Romanian receptionist that went into the army and Guitar playing title searcher going off to college. Maybe I should have made a good luck card for my 'kick procrastination in the butt' movement. I guess I put that off too. Well GOOD LUCK Andrea and Mike!

I love SUMMER!

Inspired by the Splitcoast stampers sketch #51, the image is from the digishack. What is it about icecream and me, I have to have a gallon of Schwan's icecream in my freezer at all times.

Inspired insomniac

Another color challenge from KWERNER. Not much stamping going on here, I got really sick with a stomach flu last night- yuck. Well I slept all day so I guess I will stamp all night! Not a bad trade off until the alarm rings in the morning!

Happy 29th Forever Tammi and a RAK

My cousin's wife turned 30 this year but didn't want to because that meant she was old and couldn't be a kid anymore. My Grandma on the other hand was born in 1929 so always says that she is 29 again. I thought yet, Tammi will be just like my Grandma and be 29 forever! I love this set out of the occasions mini! And I received an adorable card from Kemi over at KSS designs! Isn't she sweet!? She has some great stuff she has been doing with her score pal lately.

Day two at work was better than day one, hopefully day three is better yet! I guess that is good when you work from the worst day ever- it can't get any worse!

I received my order from TAC, had Taco Bell while watching The Holiday, cut stamps, sharpened 119 prismacolor pencils, cleaned up my craft room, watched the end of Because I Said So, and then slept until 3am this morning. Geez, don't you hate waking up that early. Oh well, Happy Wednesday!

Yet more to embrace and celebrate...

Today is my goodbye lunch at work. How sad. I have met a lot of really great people while I have been here. The celebrate card was inspired by kwerner you can look at her post on October 10th, for some reason it won't let me pull up just that post. But that is the card that inspired me. In fact she has taken me into a new direction of clean graphic designs and I like it!

Princess Magnets

Never made a magnet with a page pebble before, but I think these turned out ADORABLE! Saw the idea on this blog here. 41 girls attended Miss Arizona 2007 Nicole Turner's "A Day in the Life of Miss Arizona 2007" event and received 2 magnets, a beaded pen, 3x3 card with a note from Miss Arizona 2007 and a business card from me. They turned out pretty cute. ENORMOUS THANKS TO BRANDY AND OTILIA FOR THIER HELP creating the cards, pens and bagging everything you ladies ROCK MY WORLD!!! I will have to find a left over bag to take a photo of the other items. Thanks again ladies you made each girl feel like a PRINCESS!

Swinging (flipping and flopping) with the Best Blossoms

Retired or not this is my all time FAVORITE flower set. It is just so bold. Liking the swing cards except I need to get down not to cut the middle part!! I did that 3 times in a row before I learned not to cut it- perhaps I should concentrate on what I am doing instead of talking!? Ah, but I had fun, fun, fun! Check out Beate's tutorial on the swing/flip flop card here.

Olive Eyes

At first I saw eyes on this paper, then I thought if I added a couple red circles it would be an olive! I love this little martini stamp. I embellished the card with the sakura star dust pen. Star dust does make everything that much more fun!

A Taste of Techniques

I told you I would showcase the gel pen (sakura gelly roll star dust clear) that Toni gave me...a wee bit hard to see in this light or my photography let's say both so it isn't all me. I will be posting my new technique class schedule soon so keep an eye out. This gel pen takes on ANY color that is behind it and makes it sparkle. I love tools that are versatile- helping me save space and money- YIPPEE!
