Join me for a Card Buffet!
First of all, what is it?
I have created 10 samples and you have the chance to make each one for a total of $10.00. (Envelopes will not be provided.)
What if you don’t like a card, or two?
That’s just fine. You can substitute a card for another (make 2 of 5 cards or any combination of 10 you can think of).
What if I want to make more than 10?
You can do it. There will be 10 samples, if you don’t like one make two of another and so on. Each additional card will be only $1.00. Any leftovers will be brought back out for the next month- if they don’t grow too much mold!
What if I don’t have time to make all 10 cards?
This is where a card buffet differs from your local Sizzler or Golden Corral. You can make up a TO-GO box for yourself (although the sample can not be ordered as take out, only the direction sheet). Bringing a digital camera may be helpful.
What do I need to bring?
Some adhesive, scissors and a drink for yourself is all that you will need. Light snacks will be provided.
How do I sign up?
Call or email to reserve your seat for only $10.00.

The buffet will be held at my house on Sunday June 10th from 1pm-4pm. RSVP by June 7th for this great stamping opportunity!
Totally Terrific Technique Club (T3C)
Have you ever wondered how they made some of those amazing cards?
Have you seen a technique but were too afraid to try it?
Do you want to take your stamping to the next level?
Do you wanted to try a technique but don’t have all of the “ingredients”?
Do you have tools, stamps etc. and have no clue what to do with them?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions then this is the class for you.
Why should you buy more when you don’t even use what you own? This class will be tailored to fit your needs. There will be a survey at the end of each class where you will be able to request techniques, tools, stamps etc. The first class date is Saturday June 16 th from 1pm-4pm at my house and “wheel” be having a “wheely” good time.
RSVP by June 10th and $15.00 will reserve your seat.

A Taste of Techniques
I told you I would showcase the gel pen (sakura gelly roll star dust clear) that Toni gave me...a wee bit hard to see in this light or my photography let's say both so it isn't all me. I will be posting my new technique class schedule soon so keep an eye out. This gel pen takes on ANY color that is behind it and makes it sparkle. I love tools that are versatile- helping me save space and money- YIPPEE!
Marinate your stamping style!
This card background was created last night and I let it marinate. I make most of my cards that way. I have a surge of creativity for a background but don't want to force it to take shape so I let it sit overnight so I don't chop it up/gunk it up and ruin it. Here's to patience!

I would like to thank Toni's Mom for teaching her to share.... she took me to XpedX and gave me one of her pen's out of a two pack, I will create something to share soon! Thanks girl- you are better than a sister because we don't live together and you love to stamp just like I do! Thanks for everything- you don't even know (perhaps one day I will tell you!).
We are lost, can you give us directions!?
Memory Lane purchases....AF, Asia, sooo ME!
Wow was it like walking into a time machine going back into Memory Lane- ahhh Memories!! I miss cropping there all night going to dinner and a movie and then doing it all again the next day. I want to make my own land with all of my favorite people and places in one spot. It would be tropical that is for sure where flip flops are the standard. But more on that later...
Me treasure matey!!
Stamps that don't increase- I WISH! My forever stamps...
I won a punch at the all day crop in Sumter, SC thanks to memory lane. So I played with my mother-in-law's $1.00 stamps making some postage stamps. I like them. I lost one on the way over here, oh well! Oh and the paper in the background is from my MIL that she had and didn't want. I LOVE IT!!!!! I will most likely NEVER get used it is so beautiful.

AC MOORE (I want more please)
Well I can't show you the photos of my purchases today (a certain blonde bimbo didn't pack the cord). I picked out two great stamps out of the bargain bin of AC MOORE- I love to dig for things. I found two asian stamps for 50% off. I also fell in love with 100 of the inkadinkado stamps there. Anyone know where else they sell inkadinkado in AZ? Rubber thoughts and patterned paper dreams!
Day Seven
Doing well here, and with 257 photos taken.
103 photos to go
only 2 days left....will I make it to 400??
Miss you all, looking forward to Memorial Day weekend (the vacation after vacation).

Missing: Rubber
Julie's graduation went well, saw my friends in from Sumter, SC, scrapped a little, ate a ton of good food. And that was just the first three days. It is day four and I have 184 photos. I really think my goal of 400 for this trip is within reach! Can't wait to show you all of my purchases. I just hit up my favorite store in Sumter (Memory Lane) found some gorgeous paper, rub-ons, AF die cuts and stamps. So sorry you have to wait until May 25 to see them all.
Alright I am away from my rubber right now but if you would like leave a message please do so after the beep!

What are the chances?
Well if Sunday I watched a dog die, wouldn't today be the perfect day to go to the job fair a day early and see the JAWS of LIFE in ACTION!? Wow- pretty amazing. So I am in business dress sweating like a hog and then some guy decides to get in a wreck to ruin my day. Geez what are people thinking! No, I am just glad they walked away. It was an older couple and the wife was trapped, looked horrible and the 700 fire trucks and ambulances didn't help. But I was hot and in a bad mood. Alright here are some things you don't have to do if you DO NOT have air conditioning in your car....
1. Dress up- you could be naked and still be hot.
2. Shower- by the time you get to where ever it is you are going smell like hot garbage anyway.
3. Worry if the passenger is too cold/hot, they are ALWAYS hot.
4. Roll down your window to drive through the gate or a drive through- it's always down.
5. Brush your hair because you will look like a stringy haired biker chick by the time you get there (sorry to all of the stringy haired biker chicks out there).
6. Use an actual bathroom- you could wet yourself and no one could see it through the enormous sweat stain in your crotchial region. (crochial is a technical word in the dictionary de lindsey)
7.
8.
9.
10.
Alright 7-10 are for you all to fill in....if you have had A/C all of your life I want you to know I hate you and want you to IMAGINE what it would be like.

On the way back from Jamba Juice...
This is the view I had while driving back from Jamba Juice on Sunday. Man I love the backdrop of the white tanks! There are always amazing colors in the sky at night near my home but sticking the camera out the window at 70 miles an hour isn't always a good choice. Since I had no one behind me I was able to drive slow enough to capture these photos. My goal while on vacation is to get in front of the camera. The last photo I have of myself is from the mustache day. I also want to have 400 photos when I return. Let's see if I can reach my goal. Wish me luck. Today I am going to Cabela's with the girl scout troop. We are having a new girl join us tonight. I can't wait. There is another photo opportunity. Don't you think it would make the most adorable little mini book for the parents as a thank you at the end of the year!? Toni are you crying again? Love ya girl!

What a weekend!!
What a weekend! Friday Paul and I were treated to a delicious dinner at
Carrabas by Toni and Eric- thanks guys! Then Saturday I went to HL for
some ribbon, watched a dog die, celebrated a college graduation then if
that wasn't enough went to Barcelona. Sunday brought breakfast (tried
to go to IHOP) settled for Red Lobster- Paul and I totally spaced that
we were trying to eat something fast on Mother's Day. After our brunch
of seafood Paul packed and headed out to Vegas for the National Auto
Dealers Association. I watched the movie Must Love Dogs (thought it was
perfect seeing that I witnessed a tragedy on Saturday). Then met my
friend Anne for a JAMBA JUICE!!! Let me tell you I love their smoothies
so much when I was in South Carolina and overseas I would dream about
hearing they were building a JJ and throughout my dream I would drive
there (we all know directions and I are not friends) wait in a super
long line picking out the perfect smoothie and then right before I could
order I would wake up. I wonder if alcoholics have the same dreams? I
am a jambajuicaholic- admitting is the first step right? Anyway Sunday
evening checked out my usual internet sweet spots and found that my
crazy friend Toni has been cranking out ART- not just cards these are
all amazing works of A-R-T! I am bummed because my schedule is jam
packed and I will not be able to create until I return from South
Carolina. Toni there is no need for you to read the above, I gave you
the summary right here...(chomp) (laugh) ~(fart)~ (YES) (tear) ~(puke)~
(hooray) (ole) ~(burp)~ (yum) (niffle) (JAMBA) ~%~ (hi, my name is
lindsey and I am a jambajuicaholic) (WOW) (Darn) ~{}~!
Here is a book that I made for my best friend Nicole's college graduation...thanks for the paper Toni!

Emboss RESIST
Toni didn't know what to do with this wheel or any wheel for that matter so I couldn't "RESIST" making this card. Oh la la!

In a rut with this set.
I need a new color combo for this set. For some reason I pick out the soft subtles EVERY time!!! I guess I have challenged myself- more to come on that.
What $11 buys at Joann's and CKC
Contest Entry numero uno
Created this card first thinking it would be the one I entered in the Paper Crafts contest but I went with the other featured a couple weeks ago. I just love the color combo and the rounded corners.
Labels:

oval scalloped punch
CARD READER FIXED!!!!
I was so tired of the text so here we go....what I have been up to the last few weeks!!

WOW I had no idea--- twice!
Alright after this blurb you might want to read from the bottom up. Pretty amazing! I was cruisin' around SCS while at work I know, I know I am addicted. But found that people are going crazy for the Wild Wild West set from SU!. My family is all very into horses and I purchased it right away (some years ago). Well I guess this set is going for over $140 on EBAY. Many were posting saying that this was a crime. Sad, but hey if you spent 28 bucks and turned it into $140 you wouldn't be complaining either. Anyway knowing that I had this set and EVERYONE wanting so badly (willing to spend $140 badly) I would try to help and found this gal Anne aka Dawson on SCS that was doing something so VERY cool... check it out....

Spurts works for me....stamp when you can. Im just so grateful to get the images. Keiki is an organization based in Hawaii that sends handmade cards out to sick children.
Here is there website.
http://www.keikicards.org/
If you have any other images that would fit boys ages 12 to 18 we/they are looking for them too. The other lady I work with on this lives in Ohio..... she has been hoping for these images for a long time.
I just hope you dont feel pressured into doing this. Since the bigger boys dont get as many cards I have decided that this was my main goal to send them. I have several swaps Im doing and all my cards plus what others have donated will all go to Keiki.
So thank you from the bottom of our hearts.....

Desperate for photos- sorry
Well the old printer is still my enemy. I hate how I don't know anything about computers. I really need to get on top of that- there are so many ways to enhance my craft with scanning, printing and editing. Anyone know of a good little school? Here are some beautiful things I found in Japan last year on a bike ride...

RED Shirts, who knew....I didn't
This was passed on to me by a friend (I welled up, I guess I am emotional today so I thought everyone needed to shed a tear today, so go ahead let the flood gates open you can thank me later.)
If the Red shirt thing is new to you, read below...
Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine
sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together.
After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been
invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was
heading home .
No, he responded.
Heading out I asked?
No. I'm escorting a soldier home.
Going to pick him up?
No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq , I'm taking him
home to his family.
The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to
the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know
the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's
family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.
I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, Thank you. Thank you
for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.
Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made
the following announcement over the intercom.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor
of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this
flight He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I ask that
you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow
Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then
turn off the seat belt sign."
Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant
saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his act ion made me
realize that I am proud to be an American.
So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what
you do so we can live the way we do.
Red Fridays.
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday .
The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent
majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God,
country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized,
boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to
recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of
showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect
starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops
all come home, sending a deafening message that ... every red-blooded
American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every
Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.
If every one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before
the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent"
majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets
on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make
things better for you?" is. "We need your support and your prayers." Let's
get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something red every Friday.

THANKS TO ALL!!!
I want to thank all of the ladies that joined us in making the OLE in MAY a success, check out Toni's blog for photos. There were 18 including myself enjoying the world of paper crafting. I will post all of the card ideas once I get my computer to accept my card reader/printer. VISTA! UGH! That is why I posted some photos (old ones just to give you some visual candy)sorry not much here for inspiration my computer has a flu. PEACE OUT!
Makin' a mess or masterpieces!?

I am not sure why, but everytime I sit down to stamp this happens! WHY!? I let my creativity flow which could run for hours but then it is restricted by the space- I NEED MORE!! I have always wanted a conveyor belt as a table and it just rolls outside of the house and someone sorts it out. I love to organize, but not when it is my own stuff. HMMMM, any ideas on how to cure my sickness? Do you share it also? I am in the process of finding out what is the best storage for my stuff above is what some ladies have used for their ink pads and I think it is a great idea. The SU! pads fit perfectly in there. I figure if I can get the stuff off of the table and that way I can have a place to work. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm IT!!!
I have been tagged by a SUPER SASSY STAMPIN SISTA! She has been my inspiration and motivation since I moved back to AZ. She makes me laugh, try new things like patterned paper, stickles, adhesive, and blogging, forces me to go shopping *wink wink*, and refreshes me with her REAL personality. If you haven't guessed this it's tremendously talented Toni! Check her blog out at www.theartofcards.blogspot.com
So 7 things about me you didn't know (or perhaps you do)...
1. I wake up at 4:30am M-F to stamp/view a craft magazine or website.
2. I hate daffodils.
3. I LOVE movies that are funny (add a little bit of Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn and I am happy!).
4. I love thrift stores, a bargain bin or anything I have to hunt for.
5. I love to organize.
6. I am addicted to the internet.
7. I would love to do something creative for my career.
So I am not sure how to select the people I am tagging, so I challenge any of you that read my blog to share 7 things about yourself in the comments and if you have a blog include that also! OOH this is fun, perhaps I will make new blog friends!!! Or if you are an old friend I would love to know 7 more things about you! Today is Wednesday- yippee!! I apologize for the lack of photos on my blog- my hard drive is going out and it will not recognize the printer/card reader so I have been a stamping machine but can't show anyone. Hopefully we are up and running by the end of this week. Thanks for reading!
******added****** Linda you're IT!!! http://paprrrlady.blogspot.com/ She is such a wonderful person inside and out check out her latest creations- gorgeous!!
